The wetter, the better.

The city of Portland, Oregon, is exceptional in many ways. The lush surroundings are breathtaking. It’s a wonderful place to explore the great outdoors. We’re known worldwide for our innovative food scene and as a hub for design. And then there’s the rain—oh, yes, the rain. Portland averages over 150 rainy days a year.

That being said, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Portland is also home to ShedRain. When you design umbrellas in one of the wettest cities in America, inspiration falls from the clouds on a regular basis. Necessity spurs invention. And it’s definitely convenient having a real-world, real-time test lab located just outside your door.

It’s easy to see how seven decades of expertise—and countless inches of Oregon rain—have helped make ShedRain the world’s premier umbrella company.
