Since our founding in 1947, we have been committed to creating innovative, standout umbrella technology to serve our communities, no matter the weather.
Outside of that?
You know we love a good style moment.
We’re calling it: The Artist Series.
We have hand-selected artists who uniquely represent their communities (including our hometown of Portland, OR, and New York, NY, the location of our new showroom!) and aim to introduce their masterpieces to a new audience.

SR x Studio Proba is available now.
We have teamed up with three artists of varying disciplines to launch a collection of stylish umbrellas with canopies that reflect each designer’s unique point of view. Our collaboration will allow some of their creative work to walk the streets of the country, bringing beauty and art to communities on-the-go.
Little did they know, that by acting on this one, simple opportunity, they would set in motion a tradition of design and engineering that would last three quarters of a century.
Each umbrella in the Artist Series is a Reverse Close with a 48-inch arc. Featuring a double layered canopy made of 100% recycled polyester fabric from plastic water bottles, the unique reverse closing function keeps water inside the umbrella when closed and away from you. The fiberglass and steel frame construction ensures the umbrella will stand the test of time.
Backed by a lifetime warranty on all our umbrellas, SHED RAIN is committed to always innovating and delivering superior, stylish, and functional products. We creates reliable, stylish protection from the elements.

Katie is a Brooklyn-born muralist, inspired by the city itself, cartoons, and architecture. A nationally renowned artist, her recent public work creates a convergence between graffiti, coding, and the simple deduction of everyday language. These urban hieroglyphics illustrate a wildly animated library of dialogues, notes, words, architecture, math, and random visual connectors.
