Bigger isn’t always better, but in this case…we kind of think it is. We took our V2 Compact and made it jumbo sized for extra protection, no matter the weather. The Vortex V2 only has a 15” closed length, but auto-expands to an impressive 54” arc when opened. Yes, it has the same 75mph wind tunnel testing. Yes, it’s got the same anti-inversion cable technology. Yes, it has auto open/close technology and a grooved TPR rubber grip handle. All the perks, only bigger.

Compact, yet a giant

I purchased this compact size umbrella for my wife along with another for me, referenced at end of this review. I was amazed when I opened this compact umbrella. Little did I know when I opened it, that the arc size on this was as described, "JUMBO" size. The steel frame with the cable enforced technology is amazingly strong. I can see why it is rated to withstand wind speeds up to 75 mph. The rubber grip feels great and provides for a firm hold. In fact, I find it a bit heavier than my umbrella, the "Stratus Collection 50" Arc Manual Stick Umbrella, style #7400174001". My spouse and I both admire this umbrella, but it belongs to her. She always keeps it in her vehicle.

Sturdy, Solid, Perfection

I am in love with this umbrella. Super solid, and heavy, and I need all colors.

The Vortex V2 54” is great, but the older umbrella that I submitted a warranty on for a broken spine, I’ve yet to receive any form of communication and it’s been many many weeks. Not impressed if this is the way that warranty issues are handled.
